Danas, 12. maja, hrišćanski vjernici slave Svetog
Vasilija Ostroškog, jednog od najvećih duhovnika crnogorskog naroda. Rođen u
Hercegovini, Sveti Vasilije je svojim životom i radom postao svetionik
pravoslavne vjere, nade i snage, posebno kroz manastir Ostrog, koji je postao
centar duhovnosti za sve ljude, bez obzira na vjeru i naciju.
Sveti Vasilije je u svom životu bio duboko posvećen
Crnoj Gori i njenom narodu. Kroz teške istorijske trenutke, on je bio zaštitnik
i vodič, okupljajući narod u vjeri i zajedništvu. Njegova duhovnost bila je
poštovana i od drugih vjera i nacija, čineći ga simbolom međusobnog poštovanja
i pomirenja.
Iako je prošlo mnogo vjekova, Sveti Vasilije
Ostroški ostaje univerzalni svetac, čija vjera i snaga i danas inspirišu ljude
